Certain organic foods

Large organic Haas avocado: $1.99

Organic foods can cost up to 47 percent more than their non-organic versions, according to Consumer Reports — and for certain foods, the extra cost isn’t worth it.

Skip on the organic versions of quinoa, fruits with inedible peels, maple syrup and seafood. Those categories of foods are just as safe for you to eat whether or not you opt for organic, so you might as well save.
